Orly Campbell graduated from California State University, Northridge with a BA in Vocal Arts. Prior to beginning her journey at the Academy for Jewish Religion California (AJRCA) she was already a year into her most proud job-being a new mom. Little did she know she would not only complete her Master’s degree with one child, but with three.
Over the last six years, Orly has worked in many different synagogue settings, including her current role as cantorial soloist for Temple Beth Shir Shalom in Santa Monica. It is here that Orly found the perfect mix of liturgy and music. Orly served as a cantorial intern for Temple Akiba, where she taught b’nai mitzvah students as well as adult classes, and had the opportunity to lead several Shabbat services. Orly also interned at
Temple Ramat Zion in Northridge, the synagogue she attended as a child.

You four are what pushed me to want to succeed and/ love you to the moon and back. To my parents, Dalia and Avi, thank you for sharing your unconditional love and support, not just now but my entire life. My brothers /do and Eran,I love you both. And a special thank you to the AJRCA faculty and staff, for your wisdom, kindness and encouragement.
Upon ordination Cantor Campbell will be returning to Temple Beth Shir Shalom for High Holidays 5780 and will continue her journey pursuing the next step in her cantorial career, with the hope of elevating the prayer experience for many future congregants
