The AJRCA Clergy and Alumni Association invites all graduates of AJRCA to reconnect with each other, and to share how Elul can prepare us for the High Holy Days as we journey toward Teshuvah, Return/Repentance.  Both zoom meetings are free for all AJRCA alumni.

These two study sessions, facilitated by Chaplain Ruth Belonsky, will be dedicated to the memory of our dear colleague, Rabbi Art Levine z”l (AJRCA 2009).  May his memory always be for a blessing.

Sunday, September 11, 4 p.m. PDT

Session oneRabbi Bennett Blum, MD, (AJRCA 2007) will lead the kavanah. Bennett is an internationally acclaimed physician, specializing in both forensic and geriatric psychiatry. He currently serves on the AJRCAA Ethics Committee.

Monday, September 12, 4 p.m. PDT

Session twoRabbi Batshir Torchio (AJRCA 2013) will lead the kavanah.  Batshir is a senior Jewish educator at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.  She offers guided tours through Israel and Poland and sometimes we can get her to play her ukulele (one of her many musical talents).  She is a life-cycle officiant, both locally and abroad.

In Art’s memory, the AJRCAA will make a contribution to Struggle to Save Ethiopian Jewry, which was one of Art’s passion projects. The website is https://ssej.networkforgood.com.

Hope to see you there in your snazzy zoom boxes,

Your AJRCAA Board: Sandy, Laura, Edward, Ruth and Bruce
