SETTING THE CONTEXT FOR TESHUVAH IN THE JAILS
BY PROVIDING COMFORT AND JEWISH LEARNING (2010)

Abstract: This thesis provides a conceptual approach and a collection of field-tested methodologies and resources that both professional clergy and lay volunteers can use as the basis for successful social-emotional support of jail inmates. Both the conceptual framework and strategies are based on a synthesis of previous rabbinic literature and my experiences while working as a chaplain in the Los Angeles and Orange County jails over the past several years.
