Rabbi Bouskila writes of Abarbanel’s interpretation of Isaiah’s prophecy: “No weapon that is forged against you shall prosper.” In the 15th century, Abarbanel had many choices of Jewish enemies to apply this prophecy to. However, he felt that the followers of Islam were the ones to whom it applied.
